Two days after my last college exam I flew to Hawaii. That was in 1973. Honolulu remained my home from 1973 until my wife and I moved to Kona in 1992. We have been lucky to live here during this time of tremendous growth at both the state and local level.
I have been self employed since 1980. My background is in construction and property development. This has allowed me to gain considerable experience in working with the county on allowed zoning uses and the building permit process.
